Depending on Sector characteristics and Industry competitors, the indicator "Debt-to-CashFlow" can be optimized and become more meaningful by implementing a layer that will be working as optimization layer in order to interpret the metric on context basis.  

 

1️⃣ Cash Flow / Total Assets

 

This indicator values in percentage terms the share of total capital employed by the company (total active) which translates into monetary flow of operating management (cash flow).  

It can be used as a warning indicator according to prevent Crisis and Insolvency but it does not necessarily has to be considerd as a "stand-alone" indicator for a compelling Credit risk management assumption.

Its value indicates the extent to which the company's operating management create value using the total capital employed in the enterprise (total assets).  The warning threshold may vary based on the business industry.

 

 

2️⃣ Cash Flow / Operating Assets

 

This indicator values in percentage terms the portion of operating assets (invested capital in the operating business) that is used by the company for the operation of the business (fixed assets plus net working capital) which translates into cash flow of operating capital.

 

3️⃣ Cash Flow / Assets (no goodwill)
